Maybe a rrecycled rant: Why do the people how supposedly represent me always either are full of apologia or do not represent themselves as what they are?
example you want? Why am i to pay taxes for the motorists to ride the highways ,many who do not appreciate this fact and try to say or inuit that i'm a freeloader.
The amount of tax as a percentage of my after basic expenses of this land are extremely high and i do not get flow tru shares like the rich get as a tax benefit
Why does the court system not punish the Politicans for collusion with the rich ?
The parties benefit highly from this relation ship that persists in Canada ,and ultimately drives me to think the corruption is not shallow in Canada .The so called high road is bull shit. More people beleive in bullshit because it's easier than thinking for themselves i'd guess.
An unexplored local corruption exists between these players : parks adjacent or other amenities paid by for all taxpayers benefit the property owners close by but not those farther away. I'm subsidising the appreciation of real estae values of others not my own, is this fair?/// no.
Simply put the municipal tax system favours the rich the poor in a rental unit pay the tax to the city to pay for many amenities that the poor don't partake in like theater for one.
Will the populace ever pressure this guys in office to look at this regressive tax system?
No, that's the answer, the devlopers attend to the needs of the rich not the poor.
The poor now have been trained to not vote since it's not worth it. YOU can't change city hall .
Perhaps that's right. But when will the fall come if ever that the city will stop paying outrageous wages from monies collected from the larger body of the populace?
Never . and that's the basis of all the social economic strife in the systems in Canada /U.S.
Everything requires people to hope for a better day but if it does not arrive , some become disenchanted and turn to drugs ,etc. Best to attain a euphoric state than to pine away in frustration.
